Accompanists

Accompanists are necessary to support the congregation along with the cantor, ensemble or choir. The instruments that can be used to accompany and support congregational singing are the following: Piano, Organ or Guitar. Accompanists are typically stipend and will report to the director of music regarding schedules and additional sheet music needed for Mass.

Cantors

Cantors support and enhance music for the congregation. To cantor means you are confident in singing alone, have a knowledge of liturgy and schedule rehearsals with the director of music.

Ensembles

Ensembles are groups of two to five individuals who sing in parts. These groups are for vocalists who have the ability to hold their own part and for those developing strong vocal skills.

Children’s Choir

Children’s Choir is for grades 3-6 and sings at about seven liturgies throughout the school year. Students in this choir need to be able to listen and be respectful of others at rehearsal and liturgy. They need to have the ability to follow music and show consistent effort to sing well. Rehearsals will be Tuesdays from 4:00 to 4:45 up in the Church.  Snacks will be provided.

Praise Choir

Praise Choir is an intergenerational (grades 7-adult) choir that sings/plays modern liturgical music at Mass once or twice a month. This group is modeled after a praise and worship style which features voices in harmony, piano, guitar, bass, drums, and keyboard. This choir may have special rehearsals for feast days but typically rehearses an hour and a half before liturgy.

Adult Choir

The Adult Choir is specifically for students who have completed confirmation and up. This choir sings at 8 am and 10:30 am liturgies once every other month along with Christmas, Easter, and Pentecost. Individuals joining this choir need to have the ability and passion for singing in parts and engage in music theory, vocal production, and prayer. Rehearsals are to be informal but productive. We are currently seeking members to start a fun and exciting group such as the adult choir. Contact the director of music if you are interested.
