Students gathered on Saturday October 13th for an all day retreat in preparation for the Sacrament of Confirmation. We were joined by three other parishes (clusters): Staples/Motely, Spirit and Saints (Saint Cloud) and our twinned parish (Collegeville). The day included games, large group sessions, music, small group activities and Mass. Check out the photos from Saturday along with prayer videos made by our students:
We are excited to announce that the Community Meal will start back up tomorrow from 5:00 – 6:30 pm in the Church Basement. Stephanie Vaske and her husband Corey moved to the Avon area a year ago from St. Cloud. They have a total of four boys. Stephanie has been a stay at home mom and has been in culinary arts. She is also teaching third grade Faith Formation. Be sure to welcome their family to the community but also thank Stephanie for coming forward. We are excited to have her!
This year, Sean Lauer from Avon Cabin Cafe has been constructing the menu and ordering the food. Below is the menu for October through December. We need as many volunteers during the day along with the evening on Wednesdays. If you are able to help, please contact the parish office. It is time to rally around as a community and to welcome and celebrate who we are as Christians. Cheers!
